On August 6th 1962, Jamaica gained its independence from Great Britain. That was fifty-five years ago. Archie Roberts, president of STATHS NE Alumni Chapter was a second year student along with about close to two hundred others who became the class of ’65 under principal John Austin Holmes. If memory serves me right, we had a full week of special programs . While some of us are now styled as “Seniors” Jamaica is just “middle aged ” . How time flies!!!!!
